Cisco GLC-TE
Per piece
The Cisco GLC-TE is a Gigabit Small Form-factor Pluggable (SFP) transceiver module designed for use with a wide range of Cisco switches and routers. Unlike fiber-based SFPs, this is a copper transceiver, which means it allows you to connect a network device's SFP port to a standard Ethernet cable.

Data Rate: It provides 1 Gbps (Gigabit Ethernet) connectivity. Some versions also support auto-negotiation for 10/100/1000 Mbps speeds.
Media: It uses copper wiring (Category 5, 5e, or 6) with an RJ-45 connector.
Distance: The maximum reach is 100 meters (328 ft), which is the standard limitation for copper Ethernet.
Hot-Swappable: The module is hot-swappable, allowing for easy installation and replacement without shutting down your network device.
Operating Temperature: A key feature of the GLC-TE is its extended temperature range, typically from -5°C to 85°C (23°F to 185°F). This makes it more suitable for use in environments with less stable temperatures compared to standard commercial-grade modules.
DDM (Digital Diagnostics Monitoring): Unlike some other modules, the original Cisco GLC-TE does not support DDM. However, many third-party compatible versions do.
Compatibility: It's designed to be 100% compatible with Cisco devices that have a standard SFP port. Many third-party manufacturers also produce versions that are compliant with the MSA (Multi-Source Agreement) standard, making them compatible with a variety of other network equipment brands.
In short, the GLC-TE is a versatile and robust solution for converting a fiber-centric SFP port into a standard copper Ethernet port, especially useful for short-distance connections within a building or between racks in a data center.
