MikroTik hAP ac³ (RB D53iG-5HacD2HnD)
Per piece
The MikroTik hAP ac³ (RB D53iG-5HacD2HnD) is a dual-band wireless router and access point designed for home and small office use. It is a more powerful and feature-rich model compared to its predecessor, the hAP ac².
Wi-Fi: It is a dual-band Wi-Fi router, supporting 802.11ac (Wi-Fi 5) on the 5 GHz band and 802.11n (Wi-Fi 4) on the 2.4 GHz band. This allows for simultaneous wireless connections on both bands, providing faster speeds and better coverage.
External Antennas: A significant upgrade from the hAP ac² is the inclusion of two external, high-gain antennas (5.5 dBi on the 5 GHz band). These antennas provide a stronger signal and better wireless range, especially in environments with obstacles like walls.
Ports: It has five Gigabit Ethernet ports, one of which can be used for PoE-in to power the device, while another supports passive PoE-out to power another MikroTik device like a CPE or an access point.
Processor and Memory: It is powered by a quad-core 716 MHz CPU and has 256 MB of RAM and 128 MB of NAND storage. This hardware allows it to handle more complex network configurations and a larger number of connected devices than its predecessors.
RouterOS: The hAP ac³ runs on MikroTik's powerful RouterOS operating system, providing a vast array of enterprise-grade features such as:
Advanced routing and firewall rules
VPN support with hardware acceleration
VLANs and Quality of Service (QoS)
USB Port: It includes a USB port that can be used to add external storage or a 3G/4G modem for a backup internet connection.
Design: The router has a larger, more robust case compared to the hAP ac², which allows for better heat dissipation. It can be placed on a desk or mounted on a wall.
