MikroTik LHG 5 (RBLHG-5nD)
Per piece
The MikroTik LHG 5 (RBLHG-5nD) is a compact and cost-effective wireless device designed for creating Point-to-Point (PtP) links or serving as a Customer-Premise Equipment (CPE) in a Point-to-Multipoint (PtMP) network.1 It is a key member of the LHG (Lite Head Grid) series, known for its high-gain antenna in a lightweight package.2
Â
Â
Â
Wireless Technology: It operates on the 5 GHz frequency band and uses the 802.11a/n (Wi-Fi 4) wireless standard, which helps in avoiding the congested 2.4 GHz spectrum.3
Â
Antenna: The LHG 5 has an integrated grid antenna with a high gain of 24.5 dBi.4 This antenna provides a highly focused signal, which is crucial for achieving stable, long-distance links and helps to minimize interference.5 The open grid design reduces wind load, making it ideal for outdoor installations.
Â
Performance: The device is powered by a 600 MHz CPU and has 64 MB of RAM.6 It is capable of achieving real throughput of up to 100+ Mbps.
Â
Ports: It has a single 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port. While not a Gigabit port, this is sufficient for its intended use as a dedicated wireless link device.
RouterOS: Like all MikroTik devices, it runs on the full-featured RouterOS operating system (License Level 3). This provides a vast array of networking functionalities, including firewall rules, QoS, and various routing protocols.
Power over Ethernet (PoE): It is powered by 24V passive PoE, which allows power and data to be transmitted over a single Ethernet cable, simplifying installation. A compatible PoE injector is typically included in the box.
Design: The LHG 5 has a compact and lightweight design that is built to withstand outdoor weather conditions.7 Its unique grid shape makes it easy to mount on a pole or mast for optimal aiming.
